Target Species

Spanish Mackerel

Spanish Mackerel (Sawara) is one of the most exciting targets in Osaka Bay.

The fish can be targeted during the spring and autumn seasons, with autumn being a particularly exciting time for boat casting and blade-jigging.

Fast retrieves, explosive strikes, and powerful runs make Spanish Mackerel one of the most addictive targets in Osaka Bay.

Black Sea Bream

Black Sea Bream (Chinu) is one of the signature fish of Osaka Bay.

During the warmer months, topwater fishing can provide spectacular surface strikes. Bottom fishing with soft plastics is another popular and highly technical way to target them.

Osaka Bay is an excellent destination for anglers who enjoy light tackle and challenging fish.

Japanese Sea Bass

Japanese Sea Bass can be targeted throughout the year.

Depending on the season, tides, baitfish, and weather conditions, we may fish around structures, shorelines, river mouths, and other productive areas.

Although Spanish Mackerel and Black Sea Bream are our main targets, Sea Bass can also be an excellent option when conditions are right.

Other Seasonal Targets

Depending on the season and conditions, other species may also be available, including:

Yellowtail · Red Spotted Grouper · Japanese Rockfish · Horse Mackerel · Rockfish · Japanese Sea Bass · and more.

The target species and fishing style will be selected according to the conditions on the day.
